SOTD-"Show Me How to Live" by Audioslave..

I was looking for something that kicked-ass.. This seems to do the job.

Did you know?

"Show Me How to Live" is a rock song and the third single by the American rock band Audioslave from their first album, Audioslave released in 2003. It peaked at number 67 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, number 2 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks and number 4 in the Modern Rock Tracks.

"Show Me How to Live" has a relatively fast tempo. The song contains heavy guitar and drum riffs and a solo broken up with a phasing, fluttering effect by Tom Morello, achieved by using a combination of tremolo picking the high E-string, using his trademark Dunlop Crybaby wah pedal and a ring modulator effect.(B)[1] Singer Chris Cornell also uses an interesting technique near the end of the song, when he changes pitch multiple times to produce an unusual effect. He achieves this by simply hitting his throat with the side of his hand and changing the pitch of his voice."

 And with the early dawn
Moving right along
I couldn't buy and eyeful of sleep
And in the aching night under satellites
I was not received
Built with stolen parts
A telephone in my heart
Someone get me a priest
To put my mind to bed
This ringing in my head
Is this a cure or is this a disease

Chorus
Nail in my hand
From my creator
You gave me life
Now show me how to live (x2)

And in the after birth
On the quiet earth
Let the stains remind you
You thought you made a man
You better think again
Before my role defines you

Chorus
Nail in my hand
From my creator
You gave me life
Now show me how to live (x2)

And in your waiting hands
I will land
And roll out of my skin
And in your final hours I will stand
Ready to begin
Ready to begin
Ready to begin
Ready to begin
