I love hearing about how they met.
I think DADT should be overturned. IMO it is a stupid policy.
I don't agree with Obama's position about civil unions. I think for gay couples it should be called what it is- MARRIAGE. Why have a different name? I think to call it a civil union is a form of seperation.
Maybe the goal is small steps, and the "civil union' tag is one way to accomplish the goal. Still, to say we are equal is to treat gay marriages as such.
Anyway, nice speech. Good to hear from her. I'm sure the right ringers are combing through her remarks to pick it apart.
